Not Good Enough for the Leafs?

So! Nazem Kadri has been invited for selection camp for the Canadian national junior hockey team. During this year's NHL pre-season, Brian Burke and the Leafs organization sent Kadri back to the London Knights of the OHL for further development.

Not good enough for the Leafs? Ridiculous! Those of us who followed the pre-season were impressed by Kadri's speed, puck handling and poise on the ice. We were disappointed when Leafs brass sent him down to the minors. Now it seems Team Canada does indeed find Kadri worthy and if anyone is in doubt about Kadri's eligibility to represent the nation, you haven't seen him play. It seems Brian Burke may not be the saviour MLSE thought he would be.

CALGARY -- Maple Leafs 2009 First Round pick Nazem Kadri was one of 36 players who was invited to the selection camp for the Canadian team that will try to win a sixth straight gold medal at the world junior hockey championship.
